Any reliability issues to speak of?
Do you find it practical with all the room in the back? 2dr or 4dr?
Impressions on its cornering ability? Does it push in the turns?
Impressions on its AWD system? Coming from Subaru, I want something that doesn't leave me disappointed

- The cam follower for the high pressure fuel pump needs to be checked periodically. The protective coating will eventually wear out. It's an easy job and a cheap part. I checked and replaced mine for the first time at 37k. It's the only thing I can think of.
- I have a four door, and it's very practical.
- It feels light, nimble, tossable. It does push a bit, but that's to be expected. The ESC defeat mod (via VAG-COM) let's you get all the hoonage you like without the nannies kicking in. HPA's Competition Haldex controller make the car completely neutral.
- I think it's a very good and underrated AWD system. Loads of grip in dry or snow. Doesn't leave anything to be desired. (My last car was a B6 Avant.)

Thanks! I have been researching VWs for a few weeks and have done a bit of digging on the cam follower. The DIY doesn't look bad at all.
Actually 5 minutes ago I was researching the Haldex controller which seems like it transforms the car into a real AWD system again which makes me happy
Thanks for your time- this seems like the perfect, refined, adult version of a WRX

That is exactly why I picked one up over a WRX :)
It doesn't hurt either that I got mine for $1200 below invoice..
